Bradford Motorcycles have been established for over 35 years as a Kawasaki dealer. Originally known as Kawasaki Centre Bradford. They buy bikes for cash, supply and deliver brand new and second hand motor bikes nationwide. They currently stock over 200 bikes; Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Triumph, Kymco, Aprillia and Harley Davidson motorcycles. They are genuine Yamaha, Kawasaki and Kymco franchised dealers. Their parts department stocks a huge range of genuine Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda parts, service items including Motul, Castrol and Silkolene oils and lubricants, Rentec carriers and Givi luggage. Service technicians are Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki and BMW trained. Their clothing ranges from Rev’it, Weise, Kriega, Forcefield, Oakley, Shark to Sidi, Richa, Schuberth and ACF-50. The choice of motorcycle helmets, jackets, gloves, boots and trousers both textile and leather and gents and ladies is comprehensive. They work with motorcycle ride schools around Bradford covering Leeds, Horsforth, Pudsey, Farsley, Armley, Bramley, Batley, Yeadon, Morley, Skipton, Halifax, Harrogate, Keighley and West Yorkshire.

Bradford Motorcycles did not start by selling Japanese motorcycles. Back in the 1970’s Japanese bikes UK invasion was complete and they were here to stay. Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha had played their part with the Kawasaki Z1 900, Honda CB750 KO, Suzuki GT750 and the Yamaha TZ750. The Japanese had made great advances due to their bikes being reliable and most importantly fast. With the British manufacturers uneasy to move forward with technology Japanese horse power muscled its way into more and more motorcycle dealers. Lambretta Land in Little Germany, Bradford took this as an opportunity not to be missed and moved onto Manningham Lane. The Mod’s became Rockers and in 1976 Bradford Kawasaki Centre was born. The demand for reliable and fast Japanese bikes continued and in 1982 the Kawasaki Centre Bradford took on the Yamaha franchise. In 1985 the Kawasaki Centre took on the Honda franchise. Later Bradford Motorcycles took the Suzuki franchise, carrying all four franchises for a number of years.

Now pretty much four decades later the motorcycle world has changed. Competition to sell bikes is fiercer than ever. Bradford Motorcycles continue to offer a premiere service. With immaculate second hand motorcycles being sold to the areas surrounding Bradford including Leeds, Manchester, York, Huddersfield, Blackburn, Burnley, Skipton, Halifax, Wakefield, Sheffield. The little business is expanding into the European market too with many used and new bikes being sold to European customers. Bradford motorcycles offer a quick and easy way to sell your motorbike they offer a free evaluation and pick up service if you choose to sell it too.

That is where my relationship with Bradford Motorcycles started I had been an avid biker for some years. I used to live in Manchester and had moved to Bradford to work as a clothing manager at a high street clothing store in Batley. In the early nineteen nineties I had an old BMW hack and was using it for my daily commute from Castleford. I stopped off at Kawasaki Centre on Manningham lane and had the intention to come out with some motorcycle parts for my BMW but I actually came out owning a new Yamaha Diversion. I was served by an incredibly friendly chap who gave me lots of advice when it came to maintaining my motorcycle and acquiring parts and accessories. After receiving a quote for some work doing I was asked if I would like to sell my bike. The salesman then came out and appraised my bike admittedly it was not in the best of condition. I had been looking at my bike on autotrader and biketrader and I had a good idea of the value of my motorbike. Surprisingly I was offered a valuation that was way above what I thought it would be worth. Before I knew it I had agreed a price for my bike and had placed a cash deposit on my Yamaha Diversion. The next day I came and picked my Yamaha up the transaction was quick and easy and I still have my Diversion. It is showing some signs of wear but I have always had it serviced at Bradford Motorcycle and it is still running strong.

Overall I would say I would highly recommend using Bradford Motorcycles the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. They are not too pushy and serve you with a smile. My relationship started a long time ago with them and since then I have had Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki motorbikes from them. They have always offered a good price in keeping with prices on Biketrader, Autotrader and Ebay but without the hassle of having people mess you around. The clothing department is well stocked and has a good selection of ladies jackets and helmets. The clothing department also has some big jacket sizes up to 10XL! ( I have to admit I am quite big.) I hope to continue biking for a good few more years.
