"Quite disappointed although most people keep recommending"

Quite a few friends have recommended Karachi for great food and so we decided to try it. We were told not to expect much of the atmosphere as this is not a restaurant so we weren't particularly disappointed. Staff was very friendly, we have ordered starters and for the mains we went for R. Stein recommended specials - chicken karachi and chicken spinach karachi. I did try to enjoy it but maybe because I went for unknown, I did not enjoy the food at all. It was way to greasy, bearing in mind chicken thighs used for the dish are quite juicy and fat piece of chicken itself. It was also lacking flavour, which is rarely a problem when you eat indian food. I don't think it was worst indian I've had but I won't be rushing back, although staff and prices did not disappoint..
