"Teddy Navajo chunky knit"

Most disappointed in this wool. Out of 6 balls I have had to cut bits out of 4 balls due to thiness of wool or knots. It is not consistent in its thickness at all. I thought the wool must have been 'seconds'and when I enquired I was told it wasn't. The particular one I'm using is Shade 8369 Dye Lot 171218. Not sure if this is just a bad batch.
