"Memories of the original garage in the 1950s."

A review of Calvert & Holmes by Thomas Tidswell written on Wednesday 29th of May 2013

I was born in Bradford rather a long time ago. My father was a regular customer and knew the original proprietors. As a small boy, I was in awe of the workshop with the pit and location of the place on Salem Street.

The owner at the time had the nickname of "the Assassin" allegedly ( so Dad said) after an impolite altercation with another motorist. I say this with innocent goodwill and fond memories of a great City..
