"Not welcoming but okay"

Not very welcoming. First and second visits were on quiz night and it became obvious that the locals were being given the answers. Watch out for that. Had a meal which was good but nothing special. Would eat there again though. More casual dress. Looks as though it has been refurbished recently, so quite neat. Pleasant surroundings and good car parking. Hotel nearby if you have one of the eight and need a room. I think it's the locals that spoil this pub, the landlord and landlady (I assume it was them) were very nice and friendly.
