"Wish that I had stayed at home!"
A review of Sandal Farm Restaurant by Jules - Friday 21st of December 2007
I know that it is Christmas time but that is no reason to rip people off. I have just had one of the worse Christmas meals ever. Not a patch on last year. My starter was battered JUMBO scampi, which was batter with NO scampi inside. Next was Classic Minestrone soup with PARMESAN cheese, this was a veg soup with lumps of potato, no pasta anywhere nor any cheese. My main course was Pheasant with a wild mushroom and red wine sauce, this was bland and had not been hung as all good game should and yes I found one tiny slice of mushroom. The vegetables were soggy and pappy. A glass of water would have had more flavour. My selection of cheese with apples, grapes and celery came without the apple, grapes and celery. When I asked for these the rude waitress stormed off and eventually brought me some very brown celery (last months) and a few grapes and soggy apple.
